A grand jury in Dallas, TX, listened to testimony on Monday in the case of 30-year-old former DPD Officer Amber Guyger, who is accused of fatally shooting 26-year-old Botham Jean in his apartment while he watched football on television.
Guyger reportedly thought that she was entering her own dwelling; however, it was Jean's home.
Upon encountering Jean, Guyger allegedly shot him.
Guyger was fired from the Dallas Police Department soon after the September incident.
After hearing the argument from the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, the grand jury could do one of three things: they could either choose to indict Guyger on the manslaughter charge, indict her on a more serious charge, or choose to not indict her on any charge, according to NBC News.
