Police in Stillwater (MN) responded to a call about a suicidal man wielding a knife in the very early morning hours on Wednesday, according to the Pioneer Press.
Officers from Stillwater, Bayport, and Oak Park Heights all responded to the incident, finding the man carrying the knife. One officer deployed a TASER, then another opened fire with a sidearm.
The man—who has not been immediately identified—was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers involved in the incident have been placed on standard administrative leave.
