Deputies with the Collier County (FL) Sheriff's Office were conducting a speed enforcement operation in Naples when they were faced with an interesting problem—there were almost no speeders.
They had set up the speed trap in direct response to citizen requests—people said speeding on that stretch of road was commonplace, so they were understandably baffled by the fact that not a single passing driver exceeded the speed limit.
As they were leaving the area, deputies discovered a handmade sign placed about a quarter mile ahead of their enforcement site. The sign said simply, "Police Ahead."
The agency said on Facebook, "Well played, Anonymous Sign Artist. Well played."
