An officer with the Leeds Police Department in the United Kingdom is being hailed as a hero for her quick action to save a 10-year-old by from being struck and killed by a stolen vehicle.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Officer Sanya Shahid dove in front of a stolen vehicle during a police pursuit and saved the boy's life.
The boy reportedly suffered broken bones. Shahid escaped the incident with minor injuries.
Officer Shahid has now been nominated for a National Police Bravery Award.
