St. Louis Blues star left winger Pat Maroon visited the children of North County Cooperative police Officer Michael Langsdorf, who was killed June 23.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Maroon said, "I’ve never had anyone that close to me pass away, I can only imagine what it must be like for his kids, his fiancée and his parents."
"I hope we went there and lifted them up even just a tad because you never want to see anyone go through anything like that,” Maroon added.
In spending time with 18-year-old Kaleb and 13-year-old Olivia Langsdorf, Maroon was joined by Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Chris Wideman who is also a native of St. Louis.
Langsdorf was killed while responding to a call of a man attempting to pass a bad check at a local market.
