California Man Guilty of Filming Officers in HQ Restroom Gets 6 Years

A California man who was found guilty of 69 counts of misdemeanor invasion of privacy has been sentenced to six years in jail.

A California man who was found guilty of 69 counts of misdemeanor invasion of privacy has been sentenced to six years in jail.

According to the Long Beach Post, 29-year-old Sergio Nieto—who worked as a records clerk at Long Beach Police Department—used his mobile phone to record officers and other department employees using the bathroom facilities.  

Following his time in jail, Nieto will be placed on probation, during which he must not commit any other crimes. If he does, he could get an additional 28 years behind bars.
