An officer with the New Palestine (IN) Police Department was captured on cell phone video taking a few moments of his day to join some boys involved in a vigorous snowball fight.

According to Fox News, the kids—off from school for the day due to the recent snowfall—were approached by Officer Wade Whitaker in the front yard of a residence on Tuesday morning.

The person who recorded the interaction—Jason Collins—narrated the video, saying, "To protect, and to serve, and also to have a snowball fight with the local kids. Hats off brother. Thanks for your service."
