A suspect is in custody after he led California police on a 40-minute vehicle pursuit that ended when the motorist crashed into a tree after officers performed a PIT maneuver.

A suspect is in custody after he led California police on a 40-minute vehicle pursuit that ended when the motorist crashed into a tree after officers performed a PIT maneuver.

According to CBS News, the female driver then attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended and arrested. The woman's name has not been released.

No officers were reported to be injured in the incident that ended in the Inglewood section of Los Angeles.
