Officers with the Pelion (SC) Police Department arrested two subjects over the Labor Day Holiday weekend on suspicion of drug trafficking and other offenses after initiating a traffic stop.
The agency said on its Facebook page that an officer observed suspicious behavior of the two subjects in two different vehicles and initiated a traffic stop near an area elementary school.
During the stop of one of the vehicles, another car approached, allegedly driven by the subject's girlfriend.
Upon a search of the first vehicle, the officer found two pounds of Methamphetamine and more than $14,00 in cash.
Both subjects were then placed under arrest for trafficking crystal meth and transported to a nearby jail. Charges are presently pending.
