Xenonics Holdings has received a $1.4 million purchase order for the company's NightHunter 3 illumination systems from the U.S. Army to equip a National Guard brigade. This order is scheduled to ship immediately. Including this order, since January 2009 Xenonics has announced purchase orders for its NightHunter and SuperVision products totaling $4.7 million.
"The Pennsylvania National Guard brigade is one of a number of Army units that have recently submitted Operational Need Statements requesting funding for purchases of our new, state-of-the-art NightHunter 3.
These Operational Need Statements currently total more than $10 million. This is the first of several significant NightHunter 3 purchase orders we expect to receive in the months to come as these formal funding requests work their way through the procurement process. We continue to expect Xenonics to be profitable for fiscal 2009 on substantially higher revenue than fiscal 2008," said Chairman Alan Magerman.
Magerman also announced that Xenonics has submitted a statement to NYSE Alternext US detailing its plan to regain compliance with Section 1003(a)(ii) of the Company Guide. "Under our plan, we expect Xenonics to be in compliance with the Exchange's net worth requirement later this fiscal year," he said.
