An officer with the Twin Lakes (WI) Police Department will likely be separated from his K-9 partner after posting his two-week notice of departing the agency, and the village board determined that the dog would remain the "property" of the department.
According to Fox News , Twin Lakes Police Chief Adam Grosz said that he knew when Officer Joe Patla gave notice of his intention to leave the agency, the matter of the dog—K-9 Rex—might get complicated.
