An officer with the Twin Lakes (WI) Police Department will likely be separated from his K-9 partner after posting his two-week notice of departing the agency, and the village board determined that the dog would remain the "property" of the department.
According to Fox News, Twin Lakes Police Chief Adam Grosz said that he knew when Officer Joe Patla gave notice of his intention to leave the agency, the matter of the dog—K-9 Rex—might get complicated.
