Whitey Bulger Convicted of Murders, Racketeering

Whitey Bulger was convicted Monday of racketeering and conspiracy by a Boston jury that found he committed 11 murders and a raft other crimes as an iron-fisted crime boss.

Victims' family members were gathered in Courtroom 12 to learn the fate of the white-haired octogenarian once listed as one of America's most wanted fugitives.

Bulger—who spent 16 years on the lam before being caught in California in 2011—faces a possible life sentence after being found guilty of all 32 counts in the indictment. The panel of eight men and four women deliberated more than 30 hours over five days.
