The Van Buren Police Department now has a motorcycle unit, thanks to the generous donation of a local citizen who wanted to show her gratitude toward the officers who last year responded when her husband had fallen.
A woman was so appreciative of the help she received from the Van Buren (AR) Police Department that donated a motorcycle unit to them.

Corporal Charles Green was selected to operate the motorcycle because of his extensive riding experience on his personal time.
Green said he will focus his traffic enforcement efforts on school zones and other areas with increased vulnerability of pedestrians.

According to CBS News , Ellen Melton gifted the motorcycle in her husband's name. Bill Melton is recently deceased. He was a former motorcycle officer in California.
