A K-9 with the Herriman (UT) Police Department was shot and killed in a gunfight with a fugitive from justice early Friday.
According to KSL.com , the K-9 was working in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team in search of a man—identified as 41-year-old Brian Francis Filion—who fled an attempted arrest.
