Hondo was shot and killed during the attempted apprehension of a man by a fugitive task force in Salt Lake City earlier this month. The suspect was killed in a shootout with the task force officers.

RawTin artist Keith Eccles told 2News he was happy to paint the casket honoring Hondo. “I was all in, man. To me, dogs are sacred,” he said.
