Tactical Officers Eligible For NTOA Scholarships

The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) and several sponsors are offering scholarships to the association's Tactical Operations Conference in Pittsburgh, Penn., from Sept. 19-24.

So far, BlackHawk, Avon Protection, Tactical Electronics, Polar Electro, Northrop Grumman Remotec, Lenco Armored Vehicles, ALS Technologies, Draeger and Lion Apparel have confirmed their commitment to sponsor students in need of financial assistance to attend the annual six-day training and educational conference, which is now in its 27th year.

These scholarships will provide funding for the winners' conference registration and hotel lodging at the conference facility.

The scholarship application process will open March 15 and close June 30.

Each applicant must be an active NTOA member in good standing as of Sept. 1, 2009; complete the online application describing his or her need to attend the conference and the benefit to the applicant and the applicant's agency; and may not have been previously selected for an NTOA conference scholarship.
