A North Carolina State University student was involuntarily committed last month at the V.A. Hospital in Durham after telling campus police he planned to go on a killing spree, according to a court document.
The student, a former Marine who served two tours of duty in Iraq, told officers he had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar disorder, WRAL-TV reports. He also said he would daydream in class about robbing banks and killing people, as well as draw maps and outline the weapons he would use.
