Streamlight Inc. introduced the PT series of flashlights, designed to give users ultra-compact, light-weight tactical lighting tools, the company announced.

They run up to 50 hours and shine over a distance of more than 125 meters. Each of the new lights, including the PT1L, PT 2L, PT1AA and PT2AA, features a strobe setting, providing law enforcement, first responders, occupational users and consumers alike with even greater versatility.

"These lights are the smallest and most lightweight in Streamlight's line of handheld products, yet they are super bright and run for long periods of time," said Ray Sharrah, Streamlight's president.

Each of the models offers a high and low intensity setting, as well as a strobe function that is perfect for disorienting subjects. All of the lights also include a convenient push-button tail switch for one-handed operation. The PT 2L flashlight is also gun mountable.

These ultra-compact flashlights come with all batteries included.

While each model offers its own unique runtime, in general terms, the product's continuous stream on high lasts from 1 hour, 45 minutes, the PT 1L, to 150 minutes, the PT 2L. In low setting, the PT 1L lasts from 14 hours while the PT 2L lasts for 50 hours. In strobe mode, the two lights offer 3 and 6 hours of runtime, respectively.

The PT 1AA provides 1 hour, 45 minutes of runtime on high, and 22 hours of runtime on low, while the PT 2AA provides 110 minutes of runtime on high, and 21 hours of runtime on low. Both the PT 1AA and PT 2AA offer 4 hours of continuous runtime on the strobe setting.

All four of the lights are small and lightweight. These four models range from 2 ounces to 3.4 ounces with lengths ranging from 3.35 inches to 5.97 inches.

The PT lights are operable under the most extreme conditions because they are made with polymer lining and shockproof switch housing. Each light includes an impact-resistant glass lens, an anti-roll head, and comes with a removable pocket clip for attaching to a vest, belt or pocket.

Suggested retail prices for the PT 1L, PT 2L, PT 1AA and PT 2AA are $72, $80, $68, and $70.
