The P238 Special Edition Nitron with rosewood grips is built on an anodized alloy beavertail-style frame with rosewood grips for comfort and a secure hold during rapid-fire usage. The stainless-steel slide features SIG's slide serrations, Nitron finish and SIGLITE night sights.

The P238 Special Edition Two-tone with Blackwood grips features a natural finish on the stainless-steel serrated slide and Blackwood grips for comfort and a secure hold.

The P238 Special Edition Rainbow Titanium finish with Redwood grips features the same anodized alloy beavertail frame with Redwood grips and a stainless steel slide with slide serrations and corrosion resistant Rainbow Titanium finish. These three Special Edition P238 models all come standard with SIGLITE Night Sights and are shipped in a lockable hard case with one 6-round magazine.

The P238 Special Edition Equinox is a limited production P238 designed by the SIG's custom shop and features a two-tone accented Nitron stainless steel slide with a black hard-anodize frame and contrasting brush polished flats of the slide and nickel accents. A combo TRUGLO Tritium fiber-optic front sight and SIGLITE Night rear sight provides excellent target acquisition in day or night. The Equinox model also features gray laminated wood grips and comes equipped with an accessory rail.

The last new model for 2010 is the P238TL Special Edition. This tactical laser model features an integrated red laser for quick target acquisition and two-tone grips.
