Designed to teach law enforcement officials the facts about the prevalent threat radical Islam and domestic terrorism poses to the U.S., the Yakima (Wash.) Police Department will host Security Solutions International's (SSI's) two-day educational program in September. SSI is known as a forerunner in the effort to combat terrorism.

Key elements of the program will include an in-depth analysis of domestic terror and a no-nonsense look at the reality that known terrorists are currently residing within U.S. borders.

"I believe in a proactive approach to fighting crime and terror," says Chief Sam Granato. " The Yakima Police is working very closely with our neighboring agencies, including state, local, or federal, in the fight against our common enemies."

The program will also include an address from an Iranian Muslim who fled his homeland during the Iran revolution and currently serves as a law enforcement officer assigned to Homeland Security for a significant U.S. police department. Said to be a top expert on the subject of radical Islamic jihadists, the presenter will be available for questions and interaction with conference attendees.

"Our training is all based on real life experience and methods learned over decades of fighting terrorism," says Sol Bradman, SSI's CEO. "Our training programs range from lectures, to full blown tactical counter terrorism training for SWAT and special operation teams. We also take law enforcement professionals to Israel where they get an inside look and are able to learn from Israel's years of experience against the terror threat. Chief Granato is a past participant of one of our Israel missions."

The conference is scheduled to take place September 12th and 13th.
