March 31, 2008

Pelican Products , manufacturer of advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases, today announced the acquisition of its Australian distributor, Pelican Products Australia Pty. Ltd. The company has served as Pelican's exclusive product distributor in Australia for the past 20 years. The company, which will be renamed Pelican Products Pty. Ltd., is Pelican's first-ever acquisition and supports the company's continued global expansion plans.

"We are extremely excited to formally expand our international business with Pelican's first ever acquisition by bringing our Australian distribution partner officially into the Pelican Products corporate family," said Lyndon Faulkner, president and CEO of Pelican Products. "The owners, Graeme and Lorraine Roberts, have built a great business and developed a strong reputation for Pelican throughout Australia and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their hard work. As they transition into retirement, we will seek to build upon their success in order to take the Pelican brand to new heights in this region of the world as we continue to build our global reach."

In addition to the Australian acquisition, the company has enlisted a senior executive, Christian Nyman, to head up the Australian business unit and expand the Australian business for Pelican's International group. Nyman brings a diverse background in B2B and B2C sales with such noted manufacturers as LG Electronics, Siemens, Philips Consumer Electronics, and LEGO. Most recently, Nyman managed the Asia-Pacific mobile phone business for LG and was responsible for developing LG's operator and distribution channel strategies for consumer, enterprise and small/medium business markets.

"Pelican has offered me a terrific chance to draw on my past sales management and operations experience in the Asia-Pacific region to help take the Pelican brand in Australia to greater heights," said Nyman. "I believe that we have a huge opportunity to expand Pelican's distribution in the region and experience increased revenue growth beyond the strong levels that the previous owners achieved."

The company operates with a full-time staff of sales, marketing, customer service, finance/administration and warehouse operations professionals and Nyman is currently recruiting for positions in many key areas. He will have full responsibility for the Australian business unit operations and sales and will report directly to Scott Ermeti, VP of Marketing and International Business.
