Deputies were called to the home in response to an aggravated battery call and arrested 48-year-old Oswald Edwards.
His son Hezekiah Edwards, 22, was holed up inside the home with the gun and the child, which forced deputies to call out the SWAT team. The tactical unit was able to rescue the child, used tear gas, then searched the home to find that Hezekiah Edwards had escaped.
