K-9 Draco was shot and killed Wednesday while officers were chasing Desmund Moore, 42, police say.
Moore was named a suspect in relation to a double shooting Tuesday that killed two workers outside a large home in Hope Mills, WRAL reports.
Police said Moore died during the chase and subsequent shootout.
A Mount Airy, North Carolina, Police K-9 was killed last week during the pursuit of a shooting suspect.
