StreetCred Software Inc. and The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) have announced a partnership aimed at providing evidence-based data reports that will reveal the numbers of unarmed civilians killed in confrontations with police. The aim of these studies will be to bring clarity and accuracy to the dialogue and help to build stronger partnerships between the police and the communities they protect and serve.

The data findings that will be reported are the result of public-private initiatives designed to objectively gather and share contextual facts about deadly police incidents. The primary data source will be the StreetCred Police Killings in Context (PKIC) Database (http://streetcredsoftware.com/PKIC), whose peer-reviewers represent the broad law enforcement spectrum with expertise in the proper use-of-force.

"On behalf of NOBLE's executive board, chapter members, and constituents, we are excited to partner with StreetCred Software Inc. in efforts to proactively provide objective evidence-based data on deadly police incidents. This partnership will further assist NOBLE in its efforts to continue to build bridges of understanding between law enforcement and our communities," stated Gregory A. Thomas, NOBLE National President.

"Our primary goal is to give community leaders, law enforcement administrators, activists and journalists alike the tools they need to understand whether law enforcement is treating fairly and justly those it is sworn to protect," said Nick Selby, CEO of StreetCred Software Inc. "Our partnership with NOBLE is a crucial part of this strategy, facilitating better and faster dissemination of facts to all parties, leading to positive change in the way American communities are policed. With better gathering and statement of facts, all sides may better examine and understand deadly force incidents."
