New York Motor Officer Injured in Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision

A motor officer with the Nassau County Police Department was badly injured in a traffic collision with a hit-and-run driver on Saturday.

According to the New York Post , the officer—whose name has not been released—was struck by a Subaru driven by Hussam Rajab.

Rajab fled the scene but was apprehended a short time later.

The officer was transported to a nearby hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
