Meggitt to Offer Class on Optimizing Shooting Range Safety and Efficiency at SHOT Show
The class titled "Staying on Target: How to Outfit Your Shooting Range for Maximum Safety and Efficiency" is scheduled for 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 21 in the Marcello 4504 room in the Sands Convention Center.

Meggitt Training Systems will present a class on optimizing shooting range safety and efficiency through the Law Enforcement Education Program (LEEP) at SHOT Show later this month in Las Vegas.
The class titled "Staying on Target: How to Outfit Your Shooting Range for Maximum Safety and Efficiency" is scheduled for 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 21 in the Marcello 4504 room in the Sands Convention Center.
Meggitt says the class will focus on industry insights on live-fire range development and operation trends, gleaned through Meggitt’s more than 90 years of experience installing more than 13,600 ranges globally.
"Learn about the latest in indoor range equipment, including target carriers, baffles and bullet traps," the company says. "Outdoor ranges will also be in focus, with an emphasis on sound abatement and rubber bullet traps that meet stringent EPA regulations, and there will be an in-depth discussion on the increasing demand by law enforcement agencies for ranges that can accommodate dynamic, tactical training on the move."
The class is taught by Heath Shaw, Meggitt's Southeastern account representative. Shaw has more than 20 years of experience in military, law enforcement, and commercial shooting range operations. He has worked for Meggitt since 1999.
POLICE sponsors the LEEP program in partnership with the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
