SEARCHA witness said the deputy was pursuing a Dodge Charger into an intersection when the deputy was struck by another vehicle.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy was killed Thursday morning in a on-duty motorcycle crash in Lakewood, CA.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva identified the fallen deputy as Thomas J. Albanese. Villanueva praised the fallen deputy as decorated member of his department.
Deputy Albanese served four tours in Iraq with the Marines. He is survived by a wife and two sons, 7 and 11.
A witness told the KTLA that the deputy was pursuing a Dodge Charger into an intersection when the deputy was struck by another vehicle.
The deputy's name has not been released.
