Kai USA Ltd. will soon sell all Limited Edition products for the company's Kershaw and Zero Tolerance brands direct to the consumer. The products will be available only through the official brand websites and will no longer be available from dealers or distributors.
Kai USA is implementing this change to give consumers the opportunity to purchase these desirable Limited Edition knives in a single, convenient online location—without aftermarket price gouging, without having to pay in advance for pre-orders, and without searching multiple retailers to find the product.
Kai USA will sell these Limited Edition, Made-in-the-USA knives only after the factory has completed the production run, so consumers won’t have to wait long for their knife. Once customers place their order, the products will ship out to them shortly. All prices will be at full MSRP and will be fulfilled by Kai USA.
Limited Edition knives will be sold under a variety of restrictions, again to ensure fairness. For example, no pre-orders will be accepted, only one knife per household may be purchased, product cannot be shipped to Post Office boxes, and the products will be sold only in the United States and Canada.
Product availability will be announced via the Kai USA website, email newsletter, and social media two weeks before the product goes on sale.
The first models to be sold in this way will be the ZT 0392 and 0454 and the Kershaw Ruby, model 4040, Kai USA's 40th Anniversary Knife.
