Indiana C.O. Killed By Hit-and-Run Driver

Lake County (Ind.) Sheriff's deputies are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed corrections deputy Britney Muex while she was jogging with three colleagues.

At about 7 p.m. Tuesday, a dark SUV struck Muex and three other Lake County deputies at 93rd Avenue and Main Street.

Muex, 25, was "a real go-getter in the department," Sheriff John Buncich told the Chicago Tribune.
