Hornady has announced its new sponsorship agreement with the Precision Rifle Series (PRS). The PRS has named Hornady its Official Ammunition Sponsor for 2016.

The Precision Rifle Series was created to organize a championship-style point series race of the best precision rifle competitions and shooters in the nation. They work to facilitate the growth of rifle competition sports throughout the nation by organizing a competition series that highlights the best matches and shooters the sport has to offer.

According to the company, Hornady aligns perfectly with the vision and audience of the PRS by offering the best products for long range shooting, including the new ELD Match bullet, as well as a wide assortment of Match ammunition, reloading cases, and reloading equipment.

"Hornady has long been an innovator and advocate for long range shooting," says George Gardner, Team Hornady shooter, PRS board member, and President of GA Precision Rifles. "Their factory 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition is a staple for a lot of the rifles being shot, and they were also instrumental in making the 6mm Creedmoor cartridge case, the most dominant caliber in the Series. Hornady has played a big part in the PRS since day one!"

"It's important to support those who support us," adds Hornady Marketing Director Neil Davies. "Many of the shooters involved in the PRS already use Hornady bullets, cartridge cases, ammunition, and reloading equipment, so we want to give back by helping to grow the PRS and the shooting sports as a whole."
