Hanwha Techwin America, a global supplier of IP and analog video surveillance solutions, has announced that extraLUX, an extreme low-light capability, is now available for its popular X series camera range. With the powerful Wisenet 5 chipset and processing technology, the extraLUX-enabled cameras are made to capture crystal clear, true-color images in low-light conditions without IR LEDs, regardless of the environment or time of day.

"We created extraLUX for customers with extreme low-light requirements," said Paul Kong, Technical Director, Hanwha Techwin America. "This is the best low-light camera we have ever produced. Unlike typical low-light, noisy IR black and white images of the past, our extraLUX cameras generate minimal noise, allowing customers to see color images at night."

extraLUX is now available in the XNB-6005, XNO-6085R (bullet), XNV-6085 (outdoor dome), and XND-6085 (indoor dome) X series cameras. These cameras include a motorized vari-focal lens (4.1mm ~16.4mm) which will allow the user to remotely zoom in/out and focus. The XND-6085 and XNV-6085 both feature full PTRZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom and Rotate) for additional control and positioning. The XNB-6005 box camera also features a ½" sensor and a choice of lens configurations including an Intelligent CS (I-CS) lens that communicates its position, iris, and focus directly to the camera for more accurate and fast image adjustments.

Additionally, the XNO-6085R, XNV-6085, XND-6085 and the XNB-6005 feature a built-in gyro sensor for digital image stabilization to provide more accurate stable image when turned on in an environment that causes the camera to shake. For illuminating distant objects, the XNO-6085R has built-in IR that reaches 229 feet (70m).

Wisenet X series cameras feature Wisenet 5 technology providing 150dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), a comprehensive suite of license-free built-in analytics, enhanced device security, and better compression and data transfer performance via Hanwha's embedded WiseStream II compression technology and H.265 high-efficiency encoding.
