Right now, different concealed carry laws in each state make carrying across state lines a confusing -- and sometimes criminal -- activity for officers.
The recent terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon have dramatically increased support for H.R. 218, the "Community Protection Act," according to the Law Enforcement Alliance of America. Director of the LEAA, James Fotis, co-authored the bill. He called on Congress today to pass H.R. 218. He has been pushing for its passage for almost a decade.
