CBP Air and Marine Operations Intercepts Over 3,600 Pounds of Cocaine

Air and Marine Operations (AMO) units with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection recently intercepted a large low-profile go-fast vessel loaded with cocaine.

The agency said in a press release  that a P-3 Orion crew operating out of National Air Security Operations Center-Jacksonville located and tracked the vessel over the course of two days, until they could vector U.S. Coast Guard surface assets to the boat's location.

The resulting interdiction resulted in the arrest of three Colombian nationals and the seizure of 3,670 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $48 million.
