California Motor Officer Injured by Suspected DUI Driver

A motor officer with the Capitola (CA) Police Department was injured by a suspected DUI driver over the Labor Day Holiday weekend.

According to CBS News , police say the motorist—identified as Kolton Matosich—took a sudden left turn in front of the officer, striking his motorcycle and then fleeing the scene of the crash.

Matosich was later apprehended and arrested.

The officer—whose name has not been released—is said to be recovering from his injuries.
