Burris Adds Two Illuminated Riflescopes To SixX Series

New models of Burris' SixX Series include the 2X-12X 40-mm and 2X-12X 50-mm rifle scopes with illuminated reticles that are available now, the company announced.

Each model is now available with either the German 3P#4 Illuminated or the Burris Ballistic Plex Illuminated reticle. These compact-profile scopes are available in matte finish.

A new feature in the SixX Series is Fast Diopter Adjustment that focuses a shooter's diopter adjustment approximately five times faster than earlier scopes. Models also offer eye relief of 4 to 4.5 inches. Fully multicoated and index-matched lenses are finished with StormCoat to shed moisture in damp conditions by reducing surface tension on exterior lenses. Flip-up scope covers are included with SixX Series models to further protect the scope from harsh conditions.

A rubber power ring allows for fast magnification changes, according to the company. Burris believes its SixX Series scopes perform well in low light. The scopes usually retail between $800 and $900.

All Burris SixX Series riflescopes are waterproof, shockproof, fogproof, meticulously crafted in the USA and warranted forever.

Burris introduced its SixX Series a year ago with two models. The scopes offer 30-mm tubes with objective lenses and a variable magnification range yielding six times the power of the lowest setting. This optical design offers a magnification factor of 6X.
