As they have done successfully before, Buck Knives has forged a new collaboration with TOPS Knives, blending the talents of two Idaho knifemakers to produce the first of a new series of knives designed to be reliable tools for those who protect and serve our country and its residents.
Announced at the 2009 annual Blade Show in Atlanta, the collaborators expect to reveal the full details of their first knives soon, indicating they would combine features and benefits for which these two firms have long been known and respected. The tough G10 handles on these liner-lock folders are a variation on those from Buck's Bravo and Bravo Rescue models. The TOPS-designed blade is a 3.5-inch modified Tanto blade, made of 0.170-inch-thick, high-grade steel. For optimum performance, the blades are heat-treated to the exacting standards of world famous heat-treater Paul Bos.
