Beretta has introduced the Tx4 Storm semiautomatic shotgun for law enforcement and home defense. The Tx4 is a gas-operated, 12-gauge shotgun the company is marketing as a lightweight, compact option.
With the Tx4, Beretta has adopted its new Optima-Bore HP and Optima-Choke HP choke tube system. The included choke may be replaced with several optional accessories.
The Tx4 arrives with an 18.5-inch barrel and offers a 5+1 round capacity. Similar to the company's Cx4 pistol-caliber carbine, the shotgun's length of pull may be adjusted with ½-inch spacers (one included). To ensure a firm grip, the long gun arrives with rubber grip inlays on the stock and fore-end.
A metal Picatinny rail mounted to the receiver accepts a variety of optics or the included rugged, adjustable ghost ring sight.
The Tx4 includes an ambidextrous control on the trigger guard. The rear sight is adjustable in elevation and windage and can be removed from the Picatinny rail. The front sight is fixed to the barrel.
