Armour Wear Announces New Lightweight Steel Plate
The AR680 plate is a full size 10 X 12-inch, shooters cut, single curve hard steel plate that can thwart multiple hits from “green tip” M855 5.56mm rounds (at 3,200 FPS), or M193 5.56mm rounds (at 3,300 FPS).
Armour Wear has officially announced its newest product; the AR 680 Hardened Steel armor plate. The AR680 plate is a full size 10 X 12-inch, shooters cut, single curve hard steel plate that can thwart multiple hits from “green tip” M855 5.56mm rounds (at 3,200 FPS), or M193 5.56mm rounds (at 3,300 FPS).
The 6.2-pound plate is only 5 millimeters thick. To prevent metal spalling the AR 680 plate features a Linex base coat and build up.
Armour Wear sells the plate for $134.95 MSRP.
