The rifle arrives with three extra rails, including a Picatinny rail with quick-detach-sling swivel hole. Two inserts arrrive with the rifle—a low insert for when a bare rail with a low profile is needed and a plain insert with a quick-detach-sling swivel hole.
Changing rails and add-ons on the SPR Mod 1 is as easy as turning a torque wrench, according to ArmaLite.
The SPR Mod 1's one-piece construction also offers a continuous optic platform (COP). There's no gap to bridge between the receiver and upper rail when installing a scope or sights. The one-piece construction also gives the sighting platform extra rigidty that helps sights stay zeroed during the most challenging conditions.
The SPR Mod 1 has a chrome-lined, chrome moly vanadium 16-inch steel barrel; two-stage trigger; patented steel bolt assembly; and hard-coated finish.
The rifle is chambered for .223/5.56x45mm with a rifling twist rate of 1:7 for 69-80 grain ammunition. It arrives with one 30-round magazine, a sling and black case. It retails for $1,529.
