The APCO Institute, which promotes improvement in public safety communications, is offering a new one-day course entitled "The Telecommunicator's Role in Homeland Security." This course is the first of APCO’s "Homeland Security and the Telecommunicator" series of course offerings.
"The Telecommunicator's Role in Homeland Security," based on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) National Incident Management System (NIMS), is designed to educate Telecommunicators of their vital role in recognizing terrorist incidents, especially while they are in progress.
