The audio coverage of the Radio Hailer's amplifier and speaker is powerful enough to deliver instructions either indoors or out, enabling emergency crews to manage crowds consistently and safely.
AmpliVox's Radio Hailer communication system connects to two 2-watt MURS radios. One radio acts as the receiver, the other as the transmitter. The Radio Hailer includes a 50-watt amplifier; the 11" horn speaker delivers 108 dB of clear sound audible over any background noise, as well as a 120dB warning siren. In addition to the radios, users can connect to the amp through wireless microphones or wired mics, available as options. The Radio Hailer has a battery life of up to 200 hours on 10 D-cell alkaline batteries, or can be powered by optional NiCad batteries. A line-out jack allows the amplifier to connect to a recording device for repetitive instructions and warnings. Tripods, a carrying case, and speakers are optional.

The Radio Hailer was developed for a multinational financial services firm that wanted to improve disaster preparedness at multiple sites in the New York City area.
