2 New York Bicycle Officers Struck by Man Erratically Driving ATV

Two officers with the Buffalo (NY) Police Department were hospitalized after being struck by a man erratically driving an ATV through the city streets.

According to WIVB-TV , the officers were on bike patrol for the local Juneteenth Festival when a 40-year-old man struck them, dragging one of the officers for several feet.

Cornelius Caddele is charged with reckless endangerment and assault on a police officer following the incident Sunday.

Both officers are being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to be OK.
