A former player for the Philadelphia Eagles has been hired as a police officer by the Falls Township (Pennsylvania) Police Department.
Brandon Hughes, a cornerback who played for the Eagles, Chargers, Browns, and Giants, spent five years in the NFL. He is now training with the Falls Township Police and will attend the Temple Police Academy in October, the suburban Philadelphia Township reported in a press release.
Hughes graduated from Oregon State with a bachelor’s degree in 2009. He was originally drafted by the Chargers.
Following his playing career, he opened a gym in Middletown Township. He also volunteered at the Falls Township Police Department’s Youth Police Academy, coaching and mentoring the cadets in physical fitness.
