Spillman's Data-Sharing Software Helps Colorado Agencies Improve Service

Using Spillman, the Mountain Village Police Department and the Telluride Marshal's Department can share information with the Montrose Police Department, Montrose County Sheriff's Office, and the 7th Judicial Drug Task Force. Data collected by all of the agencies is stored on a server located at the Montrose Police Department, where it can be accessed by authorized personnel in each jurisdiction.

Alabama Agencies Replace Dash Camcorders With In-Car Video

The Russell County Sheriff's Department and Phenix City Police Department (in Alabama) are using a Justice Department grant to add in-car video to patrol vehicles. The agencies are upgrade to new Digital Ally camera gear and replacing Sony cancorders mounted to the dashboards. The new systems will improve reliability, deliver better quality video, and free up space in the squad car.
