OH Deputy Run Over, Seriously Injured by Fleeing Suspect

McGuin was ordered by the deputies to stop his vehicle. He ignored the order and then intentionally charged at Dep. Adam Slusher with his vehicle, hitting the deputy with his vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

A Pike County, OH, sheriff's deputy working as an agent with a U.S. Marshals Task Force was injured while arresting a man wanted on multiple warrants Friday morning in Peebles.

According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were to the address around 9:12 a.m. where they found 48-year-old Keith McGuin, who was wanted on multiple firearms charges, driving a tan Buick.

McGuin was ordered by the deputies to stop his vehicle. He ignored the order and then intentionally charged at Dep. Adam Slusher with his vehicle, hitting the deputy with his vehicle, according to the sheriff's office. 

Deputies opened fire on McGuin as he drove away. Deputies pursued, WBNS reports.

The pursuit ended when McGuin intentionally crashed into a deputy's vehicle, according to the sheriff's office. 

Slusher was taken to a Columbus hospital in critical condition. Pike County Sheriff Tracy Evans told WBNS that Slusher has since been released from the hospital and is expected to be OK.
