One of the San Marcos, TX, Police officers wounded in a shooting that left a fellow officer dead has been released from the hospital.

Officer Justin Mueller was released from Ascension Seton Hays on Wednesday after being treated for gunshot wounds sustained on April 18 when a suspect at a domestic opened fire on him and fellow officers, CBS Austin reports.

Officer Justin Putnam, 31, was killed in the ambush.

Officer Franco Stewart, also wounded in the incident, remains in the hospital for now but is making continued progress.
