A New Jersey man was charged with aggravated assault after coughing on police officers who were trying to arrest him for shoplifting.

According to the Atlantic City Press, the man—identified as 44-year-old Jason Reiner—was also charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest, obstruction, and violating the emergency orders.

When officers tried to arrest Reiner for shoplifting, they say he resisted and "intentionally and repeatedly coughed on police officers to spread germs and obstruct his arrest."
