An armed man was fatally shot by officers with the Omaha (NE) Police Department during a domestic call on Tuesday evening.

According to ABC News, responding officers encountered the man—identified as 57-year-old Terry Hudson—holding a gun in his hand. Hudson reportedly then shouted "Kill me!" before raising the gun and pointing it at officers, who then opened fire, killing him.

One of the three responding officers—identified as Joshua Ames, a 9-year veteran of the department—was wounded in the exchange.

Ames was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released.
