An Arkansas judge has ordered that an officer who fatally shot a man during a traffic stop be given his job back, but at entry-level pay.

According to ABC News, Pulaski County Circuit Judge Tim Fox on Thursday ordered the Little Rock Police Department to reinstate Charles Starks and retroactively suspend Starks 30 days without pay.

The city has 30 days to appeal the ruling.

Starks killed Bradley Blackshire during a traffic stop on a suspected stolen vehicle in February of last year.

Prosecutors cleared Starks of any criminal wrongdoing but he was fired in May after an internal investigation.
