Officers with the Cocoa Beach (FL) Police Department seized 15 kilos of cocaine—worth at least $300,000—that washed ashore in waves pushed by Hurricane Dorian.

According to USA Today, the 15 bricks were discovered by a beachcomber who then called police to report the find.

It is not uncommon for packages of cocaine or marijuana to show up on Florida's east coast beaches because drug traffickers continue to use the Caribbean's waters as an avenue to deliver their illicit cargo.
